A lot of viral videos make me cry, because I’m a sentimental dork. This newer video from Matt (of Where the Hell is Matt) is especially nice because he’s doing indigenous dances, not just the goofy inter-continental jig that made him famous the first time. But the sheer volume of folks participating in the video affirms my theory that viral videos are frequently successful when they feature many people doing simple things well (a phrase coined by Julia Bryan-Wilson in her essay about Learning to Love You More). I think the OK GO videos, and all those lip-dub proposals are excellent examples of that, too.
