Vista Hermosa Park in Filipinotown is the best-kept park secret in Los Angeles! I’d go so far as to say that it’s the closest L.A. will ever get to New York’s High Line. The park is beautifully landscaped with indigenous plants, and the space is maximized in a way that makes it easy to forget you’re right next to downtown. There are plenty of spots to sit, snack, and play…there’s even a FIFA-grade soccer field (take THAT, Silverlake Lawn and your “no organized sports” policy).

Thanks so much for reminding me about the high-line. I’m here, and totally forgot about it.
