Ever since reading The Mixed Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler, I’ve been intrigued by automats. Super excited to see a re-creation of automats at the NYPL’s Lunch show. Automats still exist in the Netherlands, but they definitely don’t vend anything I’d recommend.
