Three Things I'm Excited About
1. Blues for Smoke, the new exhibition at MOCA Geffen, just opened. It’s a new, interdisciplinary show featuring music, art, literature, and film through the lens of blues aesthetics. I don’t even know what “blues aesthetics” are, but the show was curated by Bennett Simpson, my former teacher from USC, and I like the way he thinks.

1. I was in Philadelphia on Thursday and Friday to celebrate the opening of Punk Arcade, a show I curated with Lee Tusman, which is at Little Berlin gallery for the rest of the month. As always, I had a great time in Philadelphia, seeing friends from college, walking a cute dog, and ordering delicious sandwiches from the touchscreen at Wawa.

My friend Lee Tusman and I co-curated a show of DIY games that we’re calling Punk Arcade. The show opens this friday at Little Berlin gallery in Philadelphia. I think it’ll be up for a month. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Philly, even if it’s only for a minute. I have to be back for IndieCade on Saturday morning!
