On Sunday, July 26, my trusted Co-Captain and confidant Chris Cole and I will embark upon the waters of Echo Park Lake.

Our journey will be a perilous test of strength, fortitude and will! Competing against some of the sea’s scurviest (and swarthiest) vagabonds, Captain Cole and I hope to capture much-coveted treasures!

This is so interesting. In order to protect this NYT reporter’s life, the Times kept 35 major news organizations from reporting on the story. That way, he’d seem less important than he was, making it easier to negotiate his relief.

I’m not vegan (or vegetarian), so this is of little consequence to me. I am, however, presented with a moral dilemma: Vegan House is right next door, terribly inexpensive and way delicious. But do I want to patronize a restaurant that lies?
